My son is a U12, and has played no position other than left or right back this year - ever. He starts and stays in for most of the game, but he never gets to try any other position. We asked the coach why at our mid-term evaluation and he said he doesn't have any other kids who are good at defense. My answer to that is that they either need to 1) develop someone else to become adequate at it or 2) expand the roster. [/quote]
