Word around the soccer community is there are lots of unhappy people in that club. Especially on the girls side and even more so the 2006 and 2005 groups. Honeymoon is over for VDA. Good luck putting a competitive 2008 team together with that staff.[/quote]

The 2005 and 2006s are doing really well.  I think this is your attempt to muddy them, but they are doing a great job at the younger ages.  Now, the older ages 2004 and up may feel as you describe.  [/quote]

Who cares?  The only thing that matters is being competitive and for players to showcase their talent in ECNL.   The goal is to land on a decent college team with some $$, not to win meaningless ECNL (or DA, if you are there) playoffs or championships. If winning team championships is your goal as a parent, take your star back to the club team that competes for State Cup so you can win every year with her astonishing talent. [/quote]

That would be a no then. But, in order to be in the top ECNL showcase, where the better colleges scout don't you need to make the playoffs in ECNL?

Not an 2004 parent so don’t know and don’t care, but no, an exceptional player can be recruited to a top college without participating in playoffs or championships. [/quote]
