Come on.  You cannot be this dense.  Take a look at any of the top teams in ANY older age group in almost EVERY geographic area and you will find very few of those players started on that team.  Most kids will play locally at first since the families have no idea how serious their child is going to be.  Some will stay local a little longer for friendships or a coach but eventually the talent consolidates and it certainly doesn't consolidate equally.  Great falls and vsa are not collecting talent. FCV teams have been steadily being primarily home grown talent over the last few years. The 07’s having added only a couple of outside kids. How many left Loudoun, VSA, McLean for FCV 07?

Years ago half a FCV roster came from outside clubs. This year only a couple. The thing that changed was players on good teams now with pathways stayed with their home club. Like it or not, the numbers and the new landscape doesn’t lie.

Listen.  Just because you keep saying it over and over again, doesn't make what you are saying any less ignorant.  You are probably the same guy will criticize a club as recruiting for having too many outside players on the roster and then criticize the same club as not attracting outside talent when they have more "homegrown" talent.  Maybe every club should check with you prior to forming rosters so that they can make sure they are doing it right.

You can look back all you want to or you can look at a bad team as a bad sign. The market that drove kids to FCV before is no longer the same. FCV is no longer even attracting the best overall talent in their own county.

Things change. Many things out of FCV's control have changed around them. With the amount of dilution a single player here or there will swing the balance for the fortunes of any club team. There are also some very big changes coming in FCV's future with the eventual changing their location and their overall talent pool. Eventually heading to Springfield will certainly help Loudoun.

These things could also help FCV but it is far from certain how the move will truly help or hurt FCV. But one thing is coming pretty clear and that is the Loudoun player pool is starting to dry up for them with Loudoun getting ECNL. Loudoun coaches may not be nearly as good as FCV's but regardless, as long as the parents and players are happy it is talent that FCV will not get their hands on.[/quote]

You’re so funny. Didn’t Loudoun’s best 03g ecnl player leave to play for McLean ECNL. Didn’t you lose an 05 ecnl player this past season? The ones that stayed didn’t have a choice. FCV is like a plague and I hope they go away. Unfortunately they’re staying because parents like their name and will tolerate them because their DD is the next and upcoming Rose Lavelle lol. How many Loudoun 07's left versus years past? How many 08's will leave, 09's?
