I don't think the PP is saying he WON'T work for friends and family, more like he doesn't corner these people at parties, spam their inbox, ring them up multiple times a week, and invite them on outings for the sole purpose of hawking his services. [/quote]

Men don't do this to you because you don't have a business and you are not a prospective client. I get men selling me stuff all the time.

Just today I had a friend's brother contact me to do the floors in my house because he has a flooring business.

I know men with auto repair businesses and if they see a little dent (which I would never fix) they hand me their card.

I am in an industry where I buy products from computer companies. When men find out my position in my company they hit me up at parties for a meeting.

Just because you are of no use to men that have businesses does not mean they don't help each other out and expect friends and family to do the same.

My brother is a gazillionaire and he just hit me up for 5 contact for a new venture he is doing. He knows I have contacts with venture capitalist and wants names. [/quote]
