Acutally, there's quite a difference: If I ride my bicycle I then have to transport groceries in a bicycle cart. Also, I have to lock up my bicycle which takes a lot longer to do than to park a car. So it turns 2 minutes for transport into a total of around 15 minutes each way. Which is a lot if you're just going for a gallon of milk. And if Mr. Money Mustache wanted to do this himself, fine, but if he guilt tripped his wife every time she hopped in the car for this task (even with a look) that would get old very fast.
Are you disabled? I can lock a bike in 15 seconds and I'm parked right by the entrance. It doesn't take any longer to load groceries in a bike cart than in the trunk of a car. WTF are you talking about. The only time difference is riding time which is about 8 min round trip.
DP. Actually, the real time difference is in how much you can carry. With a car, I can shop for a full week's worth of groceries, including stocking up on anything that's on a really good sale. With a bike, I can only carry a few days worth of basics that I can fit on the bike, so not only do I have to go more often, but I may end up spending more at the store when I can only shop based on immediate need rather than value.
Ok, you really don't understand this at all. A bike trailer will hold more than your car trunk. The time difference is meaningless because I don't have 10 hours per day obligated to work. An extra 10 minutes of grocery shopping is no big deal plus I can go when the store is empty so I won't be waiting in line. Plus the exercise benefits. It's a no brainer
LOL, your bike trailer does not carry more than my trunk.
You really are clueless. I have never filled up my trailer with groceries
