First off, almost all the messages you get on AM are bullshit. They all say, "CheatingMary may be looking for someone like you" or one of ten other messages they repeat.  Don't bother looking at anything besides checking, who looked at my profile.  Then write to her and her only.  NEVER use priority mail, which is checked by default.  You need to un-check it.  And don't mention anything about sex when writing.  You both know why you are there.  Do reference something in her profile, ask her a few safe questions about herself, and volunteer something about yourself, but not your pitiful, sexless marriage.

Have a woman look over and help you edit your profile.  Do not say, "not looking to make any changes.."  blah blah blah.  Do not mention your spouse at all or you lack of sex or anything else that sounds sad.  Your goal is to simply get someone to write back to you and start a dialogue that could eventually lead to a first meeting in a safe place.  I've written on this before in great length. This is mostly good advice, and it applies to all dating websites, not just AM, because the same dynamic applies everywhere -- thousands of desperate guys spamming every single woman with cliched bullshit or creepy perverted suggestions.[/quote]
