Michael Voris of Church Militant has Fr. Martin’s number. Probably because Voris used to be an actively gay man, who now lives as a chaste Catholic.
Chastity - what a blessing!
This topic is for Catholics. Not swingers.
You really have that dichotomy in your world view? If you think the only options are chaste or swinger, that’s a seriously twisted opinion of sex and humans as sexual beings. God made our bodies capable of sexual pleasure as one of his many gifts to us. It relieves stress, alleviates pain, and helps couples bond. If you want to be aesthete and abstain from sex forever that’s fine. But swinger isn’t the only other alternative!
Really? Then what is venereal disease? prostate cancer? miscarriage?
Wait! Do you think sexual pleasure causes these things? Or do you think if you have sex (pleasurable or not), you’ll get prostate cancer? I had 10 years of Catholic school and even I had better sex ed than to think that.
No, but if God gets credit for sexual pleasure, who gets credit for sex-related pain? And why did God make the pleasure available to homosexuals if he didn't want them to experience it?
You’re preaching to choir, Bud. Of course, I think God wants gay men to experience sexual pleasure. I have a lesbian DD. I hope she has a long and fulfilling sex life with a woman she loves. But to recap... Prostate cancer has nothing to do with past sexual activity. Virgins can develop it. A woman with a turkey baster can get pregnant and have a miscarriage. Babies in the womb can contract venereal diseases.
