These accounts come from people in different professions (other philosophers, poets, playwrights, etc) and range from favorable to openly hostile. [/quote] Besides, people aren't expected to worship Socrates or pray to him or give money to his earthly representatives or believe that he can grant eternal life. People can reject his teaching if they want to, without any consequences.[/quote]
