Certain subfields of law related to regulation. Financial regulatory work. Many of those things basically don't exist elsewhere in the U.S. Other things exist to some extent in other cities, but are heavily concentrated in DC, like economists, statisticians, cybersecurity folks, and certain types of basic medical researchers.[/quote]
