why do spirit parents get defensive over legitimate questions regarding the club? A person doesn't have to be a troll to wonder how they plan on fixing the massive issues they have and the direction of the club moving forward. They are not transparent and honest with those trying out nor have they shared any kind of plan to run a successful club. Quality players are not going to join the circus of unknown and don't want to pay for a mediocre product.
Spirit parents have addressed the problems on this forum. They have identified the problems. They have offered ideas for solving some of the problems. Spirit parents are not defensive about the realities of the program. 1. To many players on rosters. 2. Lack of quality depth players, mostly due to large rosters. 3. Playing kids up instead of playing them at age to field more talented teams. 4. Lack of a quality feeder program. Please point to any thread where a Spirit parent has denied any of these issues. All of these issues have been contributing factors in poor on field performance. It is well understood that success draws quality players. But, just because Spirit parents also point out the positives that does not mean they are being overly defensive or have their head in the sand. There are just as many playing options for Spirit players as there are for your DD. The problems at Spirit are concerning, but the positives are just as real for many players. But, even knowing what the problems are and how they can be solved does not mean that a Thanos like finger snap will make things immediately better. The biggest problem that Spirit has that it has no control over is the shear number of "Elite" options they are also competing with for players. It may take 3-4 more years of steady progress for Spirit to be a viable player in the region. There are just no real shortcuts that they can do to get there. What is strange about the trolling posts and the attacks is people like to pile on Spirit as if they are actually relevant right now. People act like they are threatened by Spirit when it just is not the case right now. In time perhaps they can build a strong program but it seems odd that the two clubs most bashed on this sight are essentially the new kids in the area. Spirit and Barca. Even this thread has a crack about Barca in it. Why? What possible damage has either club done to any other club in the area? Why all the wasted energy attacking something that isn't of proven success enough to even matter? If you need to attack Spirit to make yourself feel better about your decision then you've set your bar pretty low.
A reasonable post like this will draw little to no rebuttal.
Here is a rebuttal. WSVA will be lucky to be around in one year let alone become a viable player in 3 to 4 years.
Offer evidence of this.
