And stupid. S/he can't even spell "hear" (which is half why I asked if they came from Jersey).
I don't mind roosters either. My neighbors have them, and they don't bother me at all.

DP. FWIW, I can't sleep with earplugs, they irritate my ear canal. 
I don't hate birds signing, but I do hate sparrows chirping outside. You can call me 'the most miserable piece of work' all you want, because I truly am a miserable piece of work at 5 30 am when they start screeching outside. I have a white noise machine on, but it doesn't completely block the piercing sounds.
