I just have chosen to always think the best of people. If someone is honking and crazy behind me, I pull over and let them pass. You never know if they are rushing to the hospital, or their dickhead boss made them stay late and now they are paying $15 a minute they can't afford for overtime at day care. I've had times in my life where I've had to break the rules in an emergency (rushing to the pediatrician and rushing the cat to the vet) that I'm guessing those things happen to other people too. SO I can get all angry or I can assume something is up and be kind. If they are a selfish ass then they have to live their whole life that way and that's not a happy way to live so I win either way.
Yes! This is how I feel. OP is not the police so driving slower isn't going to anything to change the behavior. If the driver is always aggressive, it's highly likely they will be caught. It's all about punishing the driver behind them and claiming safety is BS. You are altering your behavior because you are mad. Someone beeps at me because my little 4 cylinder can't make the right turn in time, I don't wait longer to make the turn, I ignore it and do it as soon as it's safe, figuring they don't understand my lack of power. They zoom past when they can and I go about my day thinking little of it.
