I am almost 5'5" and my goal weight is 110lbs, ideally 108lbs. Have some 6 lbs to lose. I am almost 50 years old. I am neither scary skinny at that weight nor starving. Flame away if you want, yesterday I was at a team dinner for DD's HS sport, and among JV and Varsity teen girls, majority of girls was overweight and by a lot. The norm among teen girls was heavy, not normal weight. It is insane. I judged the parents, sue me. If your kid is getting overweight at 13, 14, you are not doing your job as a parent. No way I am buying into any excuse of it is not ok to talk about weight and tell your teen they look perfect for themselves at 40 lbs overweight. Sure, 1 or 2 or even 3 chubby teens is normal, 30 out of 40? You are failing your kids.
Yeah but your face is probably haggard at that weight.
Nope, I was blessed with a round face. My mom was a beauty in her youth, and has an even rounder face. She was so good looking that DS didn't believe this was his grandma when he saw her wedding pictures. I do not think that my weight is all that, to be honest, I think sadly that sometimes I have too much nervous energy.
Very little muscle mass. Skinny fat.
Some people just can't stand not finding something wrong? Why so negative? I have muscle mass and good too. I do yoga several times per weeks and cardio. I build muscle without even trying, I walk a lot. But, I am also honest that I have a lot of nervous energy. I eat very healthily, fish, lean meat, ton of veggies, good carbs most of the time, but I don't deny myself many treats that a lot of pps here say they can't have. Why does there have to be something negative with being healthy weight? My side of the family is like me, for the most part. Maybe it is genetic, maybe I am a nervous mess and that keeps me at a healthy weight?
Dear you brought the judgment in your thread. Don’t plead ignorance now.
