Oh look. Another whiny WOHM. OP, you can't handle working and parenting then quit.
Oh I can handle it fine. I just can't handle listening to SAHMs who have school aged kids complain they are busy. Especially when it's to get out of helping out on things like school functions or girl scout activities.
OP - first, I think people tend to fill up the available time they have with some kind of activities, so it's possible to feel busy as a stay at home mom because you probably spend more time on things that a WOHM would not spend time on. Like preparing an elaborate meal instead of ordering in or making something super quick. Or getting really into party planning for a kids bday party instead of just having it at a bounce place. I have never stayed home, but I think I would pretty easily fill my days and maybe would even feel busy after a while, once that became my "new normal." second, some (definitely not all or most) of the women I know who stay at home were happy to get out of the workforce for reasons unrelated to being home with their kids. there is a small portion of SAHMs that are just not that efficient and therefore feel busy even though you would probably not feel that way based on the same amount of work. So I think it is genuine. You know the saying - if you want something done, give the job to a busy person.
