Read earlier posts, you will see discussions about hours.

If you are a professional, rather than hourly, you don't get OT.  It's part of the job.  Otherwise just do the minimum required.

This just really shows you don't know what you are talking about and it may be no fault of your own. There is a 194 day contract. That is not negotiated. There is FEA (NEA's local) and event FCFT (AFT's local). Neither group negotiates the contract. There is no collective bargaining in VA.

I went back and looked through the thread. I saw people explaining (not complaining) about hours worked. They were pointing out that teachers work more than some realize. I did not read where anybody said teachers work more than other professionals.[/quote]
