In the Catholic community Notre Dame, BC and Georgetown are Harvard, Princeton and Yale. BC is fun, safe, outside the city... quick ride on the T to Boston. Most people I know that go there are rich Catholics.
Perhaps, but Georgetown is in a different league from Notre Dame and BC. Miles above.
You're joking right? Do you know where ND is ranked in comparison to Georgetown? Apparently not. And besides the ranking, I can name many reasons why ND is a better school than Georgetown.
You are incorrect; further, you protest too much. Georgetown is a more prestigious, selective, and better school than ND by every single metric.
Agree--Not to mention the huge chasm in name recognition, plus who in their right mind would choose Podunk Indiana over DC (and all the attendant clerkship opportunities, cultural activities, food, and proximity to similar opportunities)? Not even a gray area.
+1, I think people are trolling. GU compared to ND? Give me a break.
I’m not a fan of ND but the GU campus is a dump and ND offers a very unique , close college experience to their students. Indiana does suck but the school is fabulous. Also, ND is ranked 18 & Georgetown 22. Hmmmm: https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-universities
This exactly. DS looked at both of these schools. Was surprised how much he disliked Georgetown. Mainly he said he did not like the campus...too cramped, not enough green space, etc. etc. A huge difference from ND, which is just a gorgeous campus. I agree that South Bend leaves a lot to be desired, but the fact that ND is still ranked so high in such a unfavorable location says a lot. The school has so much to offer and more.
BC has a great location and is less Catholic than ND. All three schools are great but they all appeal to different students for different reasons.
