I was just coming to suggest this exact same thing!

OP-- are they clinically obese (not average overweight)? I also have experience working with people who have trouble cleaning themselves thoroughly at a certain size, as the PP described above. If they have been gaining weight since you first met them, this would also explain why the smell has gotten worse.[/quote]

It's doubtful that a smell like that would be all over their house and belongings and linger in Op's house after they left.

 People know what smoke smells like shit and say they smelled like smoke. I guess you've never smelled a really funky person;  it gets  in their clothes, get in your furniture; they'll get up and their ass smell is still on your couch ! are you crazy are we talk about funky butt, not a pack of Marlboro's .[/quote]

No.  I have never smelled anyone quite that bad.  Op says she can't quite pinpoint the smell and it's everywhere.  I would think that Op would know the difference between unwashed azz smell and an odd/unpleasant odor.[/quote]
