You can't use this on very wet hair - took me a few tries to work that out.  I use a regular dryer first (any kind, nothing fancy needed), just flip my head upside down and get it about 75% dry - no brushes, no styling, just get most of the water out, especially at the roots.  Then switch to the Revlon dryer.  I'm not sure how your hair is flipping out like Mad Men unless you're only using the dryer from above - you have to get the brush up under just like a regular round brush.  I use my hand on top to help shape it (I like the ends to curl under) but you could just as easily get it dead straight with a similar technique.

Granted I have chin length, fine hair, but I have a lot of it, and the whole process takes me less than seven minutes (using both dryers). When my hair was below my shoulders, it took no more than twice that, and usually less.  It took me easily twice as long with the old dryer and round brush combo.[/quote]
