I think she is ruthless — look at the first marriage. Would be great to be like her, I’m not, but can admire her mastery of the game.
What happened to her first marriage?
She used him to get a role on Suits and then dumped him and mailed back the ring. Cheated on live-in boyfriend (super cute up and coming Toronto chef) with Prince Harry.
What, where is the proof? That makes no sense. If first husband was that successful of a producer and you are an opportunist, wouldn’t it make more sense to stay with him until the big payday? From the outside it seemed like she was with him for a long time, 7 or 8 years - hardly a get rich quick. Second, let’s get real, it’s not that easy for a non-White actress to get a key role so I am very doubtful her ex who isn’t exactly a big time producer did that without her working her tail off to impress casting. The breakup with the chef is a bit hazy. But my thought is if they are mid-30’s and had been dating two year, living together and NOT talking marriage already - and here comes a man, let’s not even throw in being a prince, that is on his game and serious about you .... I’m slightly in awe that Meghan was patient and played the long game. If she had kids with someone that wasn’t right for her or stayed in a marriage that wasn’t working, she wouldn’t be where she is now. Also, props to Harry for knowing what and who he wants and not messing around. These days you have guys that want to text all day and not ask a girl on a date much less commit to a relationship that includes marriage. Love that Harry was decisive.
I'm very intrigued by this too. She seems like a very smart woman who doesn't just do things just because. In her late twenties she was in a long term serious relationship with a successful hollywood producer. Most young women at that point would seal the deal and start procreating before their window is out and exit the dating market. By all accounts, she had done well. Landing a successful producer in Hollywood isn't exactly easy either. She could pay heed to her biological clock, make a baby or two and then go back into acting using his connections once she was ready. Instead she dumped him and found herself single in her early thirties. Very risky proposition...I wonder what her considerations were... And to be honest most women wouldn't have fared as well as she did marrying such a successful high status man in their mid thirties and being able to quickly start a family.
