Milly pants PP lost me at Carlisle Collection. Oh, Milly, I was on your side until that comment. I just turned 40 so perhaps I am new to this world of middle-aged fashion, but I just looked at CC’s website. It is expensive, I’ll give you that. I also like Milly and have no qualms about paying $400 for a great pair of pants or a dark, tailored dress I can wear in lots of situations. However, Carlisle collection is all the over embellished, over embroidered, quirky prints and odd colors we’re all hating on Talbots and Chicos about. It’s just Chico’s for thin, rich women because it’s all fitted and in expensive fabrics. It still looks like old lady clothes just like Nina McLemore.
I don't have any printed Carlisle. I actually have quite a few leather pieces. Like anything else, you have to know what to buy. Some items from the website that I thought were cute: https://www.carlislecollection.com/lookbook/detail/WT18CNY015/ https://www.carlislecollection.com/lookbook/detail/WT18CNY024/ https://www.carlislecollection.com/lookbook/detail/WT18PS019/ I wear simple lines. I actually have a Nina McLemore jacket that she made for me. It's really cute, but a lot of her stuff is definitely old ladish. I just don't think her jackets are worth $800.
