My DC will graduate from the Blair SMAC this spring.  I don't know what we would have done with the HGC, TPMS magnet, and Blair.  If any kid ever needed that curriculum, it is ours.

I have one more to go re: HS magnets. I really hope MCPS does not dismantle the magnets or the app process in the next 2 years.  I am so glad we missed the middle school magnet upheaval this past year. I know so many intelligent kids who didn't get in. I do not understand how eliminating all the criteria except for the test ameliorates the issue that some kids prep for the tests. I hope they keep essays and teacher recs. At least a couple more years![/quote]
