Those pants are meant to be cropped.

No - chinos are supposed to be a cotton pant. You can’t make them into stretchy close fitting tights and call them chinos - it’s weird. That much stretch in pants makes it feel like you are wearing a bathing suit or something. That’s not a chino it’s a jegging. [/quote]

NP here - I think those Talbots pants are hideous, but I also don't think you don't know what you're talking about.  Most pants nowadays have a little bit of stretch in them - they don't wrinkle, they move with you, the pockets don't bulge out - stretch is GOOD.  If a pant like that fits you like a legging, it's because you're wearing the wrong size, not because the pants are "jeggings", which those absolutely are not.
