You are right, they are almost $400, but if you judge them by how many times you will wear them, then it's worth it.  I've had these pants for 3 years already.  They still look new.  Because they fit so well and I've always looked good in wide legged pants, I'll wear them for at least 7 more years.  [/quote]

If I buy $400 pants, then I have to buy a $400 blazer, and then $100-200 tops.  That's $1000 on ONE OUTFIT.  Most people can't do that, regardless of how long you think the clothes will last (not even thinking of whether they'll be in style or not)[/quote]
