Who cares about this other than you? She isnt schlepping this kid to a charter school her in DC she has means and doesn’t have to rub elbows with catty moms on the playground. Her kid(s) will be fine, now go start your second shift. [/quote]

Her other kids are grown ups in their 20's and 30's.  They all probably left the nest a long time ago and are busy starting their own families.

If she socializes this last baby herself at all she will be doing the preschool, kindergarten, play date, park, sleep over, team sports, dance, etc stuff just like every other parent does.  She's in decent enough shape so it shouldn't be too bad for her at least in the short term.  Plus the father of the baby is young and apparently healthy so that's good.

And, you're right, this is obviously her decision.
