Your problem is you think "illegals" mean the people you see looking for day work at Home Depot.

The majority of out of status foreigners in this country came legally and outstayed their paperwork. The majority have paid their share of state and federal taxes. The majority are decent and hard-working.

As a PP said, it is in your best interest to keep families together so that you can avoid an increase in violence (youth gangs) and the creation of an unproductive underclass which will cost you even more down the road.

They're here in violation of the law. Period. Stop lumping special needs children of American parents with people who violate the law and drain American resources. It has had a negative impact on the schools in working class neighborhoods. The wealthy liberals here in DCUM are protected from the consequences of their own policies.

The fact is immigrants are here. Just like the Italians and the Irish and the Jews. Now it's hispanics. We need to educate them. Also, deporting parents of legal children has show to cost the country more money. I rather the father be here working and making money than being deported and the family going on welfare.

1/2 of Undocumented immigrants pay taxes, they don't get to use any write offs but they pay FEDERAL and state taxes.

I think we need to deport criminals, real criminals, not people committing civil violation.

We need a stronger boarder but a Wall is a joke, we need satellite surveillance (which is cheaper than a wall) and we need to stop them before they get into Mexico, which is what we were doing before Trump pissed off Mexico. We stopped 1/2 of the illegal pass through immigrants before they reached Texas.

Here is the problem with your logic: criminals are fathers too. Why do they lose their humanity and deserve to be ripped from their children via deportation? You are also making a determination of who 'belongs'here based on your own comfort level.  no one has to leave their children here when they are deported. They are welcome to take their children with them and stay together. [/quote]

You want a father to take their child from their home and go to a country to be homeless. You want to take them away from their support system, their aunts, grandparents, friends.

A criminal violation is very different than a civil violation. Being undocumented is a civil violation.

Yes. I think we have to make hard decision about who stays and who goes. Adults have to make hard decisions, criminals go, non-criminals stay. We don't even have enough ICE agents to deport all the criminals, why are we targeting non-criminals. It's doesn't make sense. I want the criminal deported, yet they are not being deported because ICE is busy picking up people as they do their yearly check in.

Before Trump we (cops) could catch a criminal, call ICE and have him deported in 48 hours. Not any more. Does that make sense to you. ICE is too busy to deport criminals.

In 2016 more people voluntarily moved from US to Mexico instead of the other way around, because we had good relations and Mexico was building their economy. We had a immigration policy that was working and we deported criminals. Now it's just a mess.

Yes, fathers nd mothers bring their kids across the border her everyday. They can do the same  in reverse to take them home. In the same way they established roots here, they can do the same in their home countries. Great news that Mexicans have found a more prosperous home in recent years.

I think you misunderstand what Gorsich's vote meant - he just said the law wasn't clear enough to determine that burglary is considered a violent crime,not that he disagrees with Trump.  The Supreme court will decide about the travel ban soon. Majority of Americans AGREE with Trump plan to put national guard troops on the border. Most people don't rank immigration as a political priority. If American 401ks are doing well in 2020, get ready for trumps second term. You  are kidding yourself if you think the majority care enough about liberal ideas of immigration to vote on them. Republican voters are more likely to be tough on immigration and will vote on immigration is their #1 issue. [/quote]

1. I did not misunderstand the vote. "I do not get confused."
2. National guard is normal, not sure why you even mentioned it. It wasn't even Trumps idea. We do that all the time. 
3. Immigration was a priority for Obama and Hilary if you read their plans. 
4. I don't really care if Trump wins. It's possible to not care about Trump being president and understand where he is making mistakes. We have checks and balances so he can't mess too much up. 
5. Actually most of the country like the democratic immigration plan which is why it was so effective for the previous 8 years, it was 1 thing the Republicans didn't block. 
6.Lets not get Republicans and Trump confused. Most my family is Republican, they don't support Trump. Trump (as apposed to Republicans) says he is tougher on immigration but he isn't. His plans are ineffective, let more people in the country, encourage less people to leave on their own and insights fear which means immigrants are less likely to call the cops on criminals.
