You know what? For me, it is partly fear. Climate change denial plus the huge deficits under the Tax Scam really concern me because my kids will inherit a the massive deficit and extreme weather patterns. And it’s not just me the omaF is also conepcerned about the US’s economic stability. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/apr/19/imf-outlook-contains-cause-for-celebration-but-a-horrendous-hangover-is-looming Besides that, I’m not It angry. I’m mentally exhausted. Tired of the clown car politics. The tweets. The chaos. The large scale grifting that has become acceptable. The unhinged rants by Trump that keep dominating the news. I’m a Fed who works with a program that has broad bipartisan support, providing services directly to nearly all segments of the populations. And yet, the the angry rhetoric, the flip flops, the lack of clarity about our mission under Trump and the revolving door of political, appointees at the top make it very hard for me to serve you efficiently and effectively. The tone at the top is terrible, and we are bleeding qualified workers. And these are not jobs you should want gone. I worked under Bush and Obama, and honestly there was very little difference, because my job is not influenced by ideology. But Trump is a whole different story. Even a very short shutdown is disruptive. Changing agency leaders constantly is disruptive. And the total lack of understanding about what we do is not helping. And this is before we get to the lies, the tweets, the 24=7 news cycle, the grifting, the lack of Eric’s, and the never ending drama. So yes. I am concerned, and I am mentally exhausted exhausted. I want thoughtful, stable leadership at the top. And at this point I don’t really care which party provides it. A Democrat would be great. But Pence would also be a huge improvement.
