DKFI parent here- school families received a robocall last week explaining that the waiting list numbers noted online represented the numbers before sibling preference was applied.  Apparently the school was getting a lot of calls from current families with siblings entering K and freaking out that they were on the waiting list according to the website.  In your case, I guess siblings were given their spots, and your child was still high enough on the list that he/she also made it into the class.  Congrats!  [/quote]
