the people who are just using the app on a non-peleton bike, how is it going? do you think its worth it and/or do you get the same workout as a regular spin class?
I've been using the app for about 6 months now and like it a lot. Good variety of classes, even if I'm short on time. I also like the Beyond the Ride strength training workouts on the app. For me, I get just as much out of the Pelo classes as I do a regular spin class, but then again, I've never really needed the external motivation that comes from being in a live spin class. The live Pelo rides feel more inclusive than the on-demand ones, but you're still participating through a screen so it's certainly not like being in a real class from a motivational/energy standpoint. And if you're using a non-Pelo bike, you don't get to compete against others during the live rides. For me, that doesn't take away from the workout but I know others really like that feature. I believe they still offer a free trial so you could always sign up and see if you like using the app with a non-Pelo bike.
