Umm, no.  If you are in a committed, monogamous relationship and [b]your serious boyfriend cheats on you, you can most certainly move out and put an end to that relationship, ASAP.[/b] You walk away with everything that you brought to the table - your bank account, your 401K, your investments, your car, your t.v, etc - all still yours.

If your husband cheats on you then you have to go through a divorce, along with a separation, split of marital assets......which is time consuming, expensive and emotionally draining.[/quote]

Yes but it's a lot more hassle to do this while moving out vs. simply stopping to take his calls if you happen to live separately. [/quote]
