Hi! I am looking for a doctor in the area that will prescribe Qysmia. I went to an endocrinologist at Virginia Hospital Center and she prescribed me saxenda, which is $1200, per month (not covered by insurance). She said Qysmia would be an option for me and that another doctor she works with could prescribe it. So, I made an appointment with that doctor, only to find out that she doesn't prescribe it to folks that don't have diabetes. I do not have diabetes, but struggle with weight loss due to PCOS. Anyway, I would love any suggestions anyone has of doctors in the area who prescribe qysimia. I'd like to start working with a doctor who can prescribe it to me, but also monitor/manage as well. I'd obviously bring all of my bloodwork/info from the previous endocrinologist. Thanks in advance!
Dr. Sonita Singh in DC is my doctor and she prescribed it for me. I have been seeing her for years as she is my GP and she knew I had tried to lose weight unsuccessfully for a long time. I'm not sure if she is taking new patients though.
