No idiot.  I tell the truth.  I don't know if the Xmas gift was bought at Target. And I just exchanged some batteries, also unsure if they were from Target.  If I know where an item came from I'd just return it there.   Whether OP wants to lie is her call but she could as easily just take them to the counter and say "I'd like to exchange these".[/quote]
