I feel that you are an uncouth person. Have you ever been to a classical music performance? I guess not, but, if you have, have you seen anyone on stage wearing skinny jeans and Under Armor sneakers?

As a mother of boys, have you ever had to purchase them any kind of sports uniform? Soccer cleats, or hockey gear, or, at the very least, tennis shorts? Well, this is sorta similar, only instead of running around trying to score a goal, the kiddos stand around and sing.[/quote]

And do you really think black pants and shoes that will be worn once are the same thing as sports gear that is used multiple times a week for an entire season?

Relax, pp. My kid will be in black pants, black shoes, black belt, and a white shirt for the performance. It's just a hassle I don't really enjoy: shopping for things he will only use once. And it's particularly infuriating since the performance wouldn't be impacted at all if the kids showed up wearing their Sunday best...regardless of the color. [/quote]
