I say this as a curvy woman (big boobs/ass, small waist, size 4/6, not fat): Yes, absolutely. Everything else (clothes, clothing size, weight) equal, a woman with a slim/athletic/boyish build is going to look "higher status" than the same woman with big hips and big breasts. A more athletic body type fits a certain WASPy aesthetic. Curves don't work with that look. Look around: how many curvy women do you see living in the biggest houses, driving the best cars, married to the highest earning men?
Those men's loss.
Perhaps. Or maybe they're attracted to that type of woman.
-1 They marry the bony type to fulfill the image and cheat with curvy women.
This. I have been an assistant in financial services and legal services firms for 30 years. These offices are full of wealthy white men and, almost without exception, these men all have bone-thin, white wives. All the mistresses and flings are curvaceous, sexy, and often of color. The skinny wife is as much for image as the big house is. And she is viewed as a possession, not a valued human being, which is why these men cheat so flagrantly and use every excuse to avoid their wives, while spending a lot of time with their other women.
I call BS on this. This is something a lot of bigger women WANT to believe is true, but it isn’t.
