However, if op's son is not admitted to Harvard, Stanford, and/or Yale, then he would prefer to attend Princeton as a legacy than any lesser university. Clearly op and her son do believe that he will be admitted to Harvard, Stanford, and/or Yale, otherwise they would not gamble with a particularly historied legacy of admission to Princeton. [/quote]
