I'd also call your school's placement office and see if you can get a government contact at a place you're interested in (you haven't listed your practice area?). DOJ isn't the only game in government, especially if what you're looking for is a job that is fulfilling but also gives you time to spend with your family. Having gov contacts can help you hear about possible job openings before they happen, and how to put yourself in the best position to be hired. [/quote]
