This is my vet and I have never felt pressured to pay for extra procedures. They normally give me options and I choose what I think is best for my dog. I have gone there for years without any issues. Plus my dog LOVES them so I cannot go anywhere else. [/quote]

This is my vet too and I would say that the amount of pressure depends on the doctor. I have had some that push procedures (though, they are not there anymore) and others who have been great. It is probably the same in any larger vet practice. They have helped me over the phone several times and their advice stopped me from rushing off to the emergency vet. The emergency vet, however, will never give advice over the phone -- they always need you to come in.
