I have a friend who has decided her child is allergic to EVERYTHING. Gluten, meat, eggs, dairy, tree nuts, soy, chocolate etc.

Once at playgroup a person brought a homemade snack to share that was unaware of the newest soy allergy. At the end of the day someone asked for the recipe and when the mother found out it had soy in it she got so angry and said we could have killed her son. Yes we as in all of us. The kid was absolutely fine, not a single reaction. So a few days later another mom pressed this mom about this child's allergies and the mom finally admitted he didn't have any food allergies but this way she could make sure he ate healthy and vegan his whole life and people would give him preferential treatment and "only the best".

So basically she is depriving her child by making him a special snowflake. She is pregnant now so I'm wondering how her "Munchhausens" is going to manifest on this next one.[/quote]
