I don't know. I think things like guided reading groups, math workshop, and writing workshop are beneficial. They're just difficult to manage and implement with 30+ students in a room. [/quote]

Guided reading groups, maybe.  The rest, no.  And I'm not sure that guided reading groups are really that beneficial, given that they necessarily mean that all the other students are doing make-work centers for much of LA.  [/quote]
