If Trump were black he would have already had a Nobel Prize by now. Since he is orange he is on the bubble.
What good thing has he done? Divide the country? Threaten newspapers? Invite his supporters to issue death threats to college students?
He didn't divide the country. Are you that simple minded to believe that we were one big happy under Obama? This country has been a mess since slavery and with every wave of immigration. Trump gave angry people a voice. People were to bound rise up at some point -even under another liberal president. Perhaps it's the "last stand." But it was still a stand many people took. And for the record, those who voted third party or who didn't vote at all took a stand as well, as they were too apathetic to even care. We are too far gone at this point to heal. If Obama had been our savior, we would not have Trump as our president now. But that's expecting too much from any president to do b/c this country can't heal its deep wound with a band aid. Maybe now we'll all wake up and think - WTF do we do now to get over our differences and move on?
Nobody ever pretended that the country was happily united under Obama. But it damn sure wasn't as divisive as it is now. Check the polls, per Gallup and others, Trump is coming into office with the worst approval rating in history, his disapproval ratings are 20% higher than those of any other PEOTUS. He lost by the largest popular vote margin in history, nearly 3 million votes. He won by one of the smallest electoral college margins in history. Only 29% of Americans feel he has a mandate to enact his agenda. He has not done anything to reach out to the other side, instead he continues to be on the offensive, with juvenile whining over any and all critics, refusal to meet with the media or hold regular press conferences, and worse yet, threats to muzzle and silence anyone who dares question his Administration or its choices. Trump has a whole lot of work to do if he wants any healing to happen - yet he seems totally uninterested in letting anything heal. He's used to firing people he disagrees with, he's used to screwing contractors and vendors over - yet here's the thing - we are ALL Americans. He doesn't get to pick and choose anymore.
