I make sure I'm using the best available products that actually give me the results I want. With things like body lotion, when you're not being photographed and scrutinized by clients, brands, and everyone else, you can certainly get away with using Jergens, so by all means, save money on things like body lotion, but don't skimp when it comes to your face. It's what everyone sees every day, no matter what industry you work in, and it's what you see in the mirror every day. Buy the best items you can within your budget for your skincare needs and you won't regret it. [/i]

Helpless DH here who would like to get DW some brushes as a stocking stuffer, and I see you recommended the Real Techniques brushes.  You link to the Bold Metals collection.  Are these for eyes?  You say buy al the brushes in the set, but the set itself (Spotlight Essential Set) includes 3 brushes while it appears there are a total of 9 brushes available in this collection?  How does this differ from the Starter Set, which also appears to be for eyes?  And finally any thoughts on the Core Collection?  Thank you from a clueless guy.[/quote]

Hi Helpless DH! Publicist PP here. I do recommend the Real Techniques brushes because they are the best you can buy - every makeup artist I have used has these in their makeup tool bag and they swear by them, so I have no hesitation in recommending them. I use them myself and give them to all my cousins as they get old enough to start wearing makeup because a great brush makes a world of difference. The Bold Metals collection I linked to has brushes for everything - from foundation to eyes to blush to liner. I'd get one of each of those brushes in the collection, giving your DW a full set. The Spotlight Set gives you 3 brushes - 1 is for blush, 1 is for eyeshadow, 1 is for concealer. If it's more cost effective, you can get that set, then supplement by buying the other brushes not included. I couldn't find a Starter Set one that you mention but I did find the Core Collection one. The Core Collection is for the makeup user who does a full contour - you use those brushes when you're highlighting and shading - so think what Kim Kardashian's makeup looks like. If your wife doesn't do that heavy contour look, the Core Collection isn't really for her. Hope this helps![/quote]
