OP, you need to have an Professional assessment, for the sake of yourself (and your children, who may inherit the trait or gene or genetic attribute).  Most normal people don't walk around covering their precious little ears.  You know this is not normal adult behavior, right?  I'm not loud, but some of my good friends are.  They are the most passionate, accomplished people I know.  I wouldn't have it any other way. Neither would they, or the people who love them.

The casual consensus here (as good as any random sample I suppose, partly in jest) indicates that most people are not bothered by people who talk louder than them.  It is just not something normal people concern themselves with.  Could you at least consider (probably not) that you are being persnickety and petty and looking for fault (where none exists)?  Again, probably not.  I would not expect you to be self aware.  You seem hyper critical.  Again another indication of deep self hatred.

You might want to look at your own self hate.  Dig deep down inside yourself, and stop worrying about other people so much, OP.  [/quote]
