It just means William and Catherine are more comfortable and confidant at public appearances. Catherine has been at this a long time now and doesn’t need to hold her husband’s hand for reassurance. William and Kate have a job to do, and they both just do it.

Harry and Meghan were clearly uncomfortable and physically leaning on each other. That’s fine. Or, they strategically opt to cling to each other for photos like this. That’s fine too I guess.

My takeaway from all the photos I saw was Meghan’s eyes were often focused on Will and Kate. Not sure why, but it was noticeable.
