When you are abused as a child, it stays with you. And you can't talk about it, or even tell most people in your life, for the same reason people on this thread demanded that factual description of what abuse occurred be deleted from the thread. What was done to you, if you were abused, becomes part of you, and one of the reasons it is so hard to heal and move on is that you see how people (like the "average Joes" on this thread who were never abused) just would rather not know. But this means they don't want to know what is now part of YOU, so you come to realize that whoever hurt you also changed you so now you are so distasteful and disturbing to people who were never abused themselves that they would rather just look away and not know. The lives of those young girls who were abused ended the day of the abuse, even if they weren't literally murdered. They will never be able to move past what happened, and they will never be able to view the world and people as essentially good, not in the way that people who have the luxury of turning their heads and refusing to know can do. I don't think a person who has never been abused can fully understand this. But the comments by people here who don't even want to know about this kind of abuse cuts me to the heart.
I'm sorry about your having been abused. I was too. I have the opposite view about how graphic a description this warrants in this forum. I agree it shouldn't be called porn. It is criminal torture, rape, and assault. It should be called that. Going further, as one pp was hell-bent on doing, can retraumatize people, and pp was rather callous about it. This isn't a one-answer-fits-all. That said, pp could call it out for the crime it is and guide people to more info without narrating the horror.
I (and possibly others) requested Jeff delete the descriptions. The bold is similar to what I wrote in my request. The PP that feels the need to post the specifics should argue their defense directly with Jeff.
I posted one thing that was very vague and it got deleted, and I am sorry that I added the (vague) details that I did. I understand it’s difficult to read and I probably shouldn’t have sprung it on people just looking for celebrity gossip. But at the same time, the people who view this thread as “pop culture and entertainment” maybe don’t realize really what he is being charged with and maybe if people knew- as horrifying as it is to read- it wouldn’t get swept under the rug like how he molested like ALL OF HIS SISTERS got swept under the rug in the end.
