In an April 12 Tweet, the president said, “Due to the fact that Democrats are unwilling to change our very dangerous immigration laws, we are indeed, as reported, giving strong considerations to placing Illegal Immigrants in Sanctuary Cities only....” “We hope it is not politically motivated, and they shouldn’t shift a crisis at the border to Palm Beach County,” Bernard said.
https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/politics/fl-ne-immigrants-coming-south-florida-20190516-kxbobliqnvandgs5sqq7d6m5rm-story.html This is the crux of every issue with Trump and the Rs. There is no will to work with people. No will to compromise. Don't ask for input, just shove it at them. Last time I checked, these counties were part of America. This is no way to run a business, much less a country. If the feds do this, they need to send money for every kid in K-12 at a minimum (and plenty of it). Building schools and hiring teachers is expensive. The local taxpayers should not be paying for federal mishaps. Trump must love giving lawyers more money. He is certainly testing the courts. Let's see how far Bret will go.
Oh so now it's a resource issue?! It always has been. These kids have been dumped in our schools for far too long. They need to keep them in one place, send them to school while they go through the courts and deport as soon as they lose their asylum case. Use one of the islands or something. One you release them into the interior they disappear, have more kids, etc. In order to get to stay. They shouldnt be getting too comfortable
