"A lot of charity" would be stretching it.  They gave away like 15$mn/year through the Bezos family foundation.  Compare that to the Zuckerbergs who made arrangements to donate $50 bn the year their first kid was born.[/quote]

Amazon does a lot of charity work.  There is a lot within the community in Seattle, including a homeless shelter in their building.  Amazon is not just one company, it is comprised of many companies and it is a business and business are to make money for their investors not be a charitable company.[/quote]
