As a 40+ year Texas resident - Most wedding I have attended and the one I planned for my daughter were not men in Jeans. The stereotyping is funny. A lot depends on location. More rural, more likely jeans. Outdoors same. It is not considered hot here yet. I am in south texas - in the 50’s this morning with high of 70.
Texan here too. Jeans are common for outdoor weddings. The bride and groom set the tone for the wedding party's dress. I've been to outdoor weddings in Texas, even in fairly rural areas, where everyone's in formal attire - so this is not necessarily typical. But when the wedding party is casual, it's weird for anyone else to outdo them with suits or tuxes. Personally, I prefer dress up. There are so few occasions in life when one dresses up, and I think a wedding should be one of them. Make an effort.
