We, in the public, have only the information that the family has chosen to share, just as it should be.  Based on their email, we know that MPD determined that there was nothing actionable that would allow them to take steps toward identifying a perpetrator. This could be because several months passed. This could be because the child had no idea who might have attacked him and could not describe it. And it could be because it never happened.

Wanting to support the alleged victim (and all alleged victims) is laudable but not sufficient under our legal system if there is simply nothing to substantiate his claims. [/quote]
