We are zoned for Crossfield/Carson/Oakton.  It's hard to see how we can still go to Oakton with the Western High school.

(1) Carson is one of the better performing middle schools, even without the AAP kids draws from Franklin.  I am counting on that the new HS would have a similar high performing student body out of Carson and it helps to keep the performance up.

(2) I agree the facility is fantastic.  We went there during KAA's annual summer picnic/festival (we came back from Costco via Mclaren and saw the jump house and decided to crash the party), went inside for bathroom and it is smooth and shiny like a concert hall.

(3) however, I am worried about where the teachers would come from.  As a middle aged professional myself, if I am comfortable at my current work place, with commuting all figured out, why would I move to a new office?  So would new HS have relatively young teachers that would turn over quite a bit?  Are first few classes of student become guinea pigs of the new teachers?
