Most people aren't reporting covid positives so we really don't know actual numbers.  I just went to my doctor who was annoyed I didn't report it or test through them but we all tested positive on home tests.[/quote]

That is why we look at wastewater.  The poop doesn't lie (unless different strains show up at different levels in fecal matter).  Levels are definitely rising.  However, I remember when people were absolutely freaking out that "BA2 is here!" claiming we would spike as high as BA1 because that's what happened in the UK.  And it never happened in the US, because BA1 is so protective against BA2.  (And also BA4, 5, etc).[/quote]
