One of the problems with the left pushing identity politics is that it's inherently divisive and thus is conducive to this sort of awfulness. You can't constantly promote race pride when it comes to every non-white group and then be surprised when something like this happens. Some people (especially those going through hard times) get angry when they are constantly told how privileged they are because of their skin color, and they lash out in horrible ways.
So people who want equality for all are to blame for neo Nazis. Got it.
Exactly.
What exactly is this "equality for all"? Everyone who wants to go to college should be able to? Everyone should end up in the comfortable middle class? There shouldn't be people who earn $250,000 while others earn only $25,000? I'm for equal opportunity, but it seems to me that many liberals are for equal outcomes. That's the difference. Some people are just more driven, harder-worker, and yes....smarter....than others. It doesn't help that we have to pretend that everyone has the same potential.
No, it means if you are walking through a neighborhood, even one where you live, you shouldn't have to fear getting shot and killed by an officer of the law because of your skin color or some self-investigating racist with a gun. It means, when your county has polling places, there should be the same number of voting booths in both the "white" areas and the "black" areas. The "black" areas should have fewer polling places and fewer booth per location. The reason you see lines in places like NC and OH is because the white leadership is manipulating how and where voting takes place to make it harder for the black people to vote. Not everyone has the same potential, and it is more based on socio-economic factors than race, but disenfranchising democratic basics like voting cut off a path to political equality on a proportionate level, and seeing video of people getting shot in a car for being black is disgusting. And now that every phone has a camera, we are seeing what had been lore for past generations. Let's start with the basics.
It's not only Blacks who have to worry about getting killed for being in the wrong neighborhood. I'm White and for a while I lived in Harlem. I got used to comments like "damn White people taking over our neighborhood!" But one time, I was crossing the street and as soon as I left the sidewalk, a car went into reverse, struck me and I fell down. I was not injured and I yelled at the African American driver "why did you do that?" He yelled back at me "you in the wrong neighborhood!"
